The CHBA - Alberta Conference kicks off Thursday night with one of the most anticipated nights of the conference, theme night. Costumes are a must and prizes are awarded to those who aren't afraid to be creative and step outside the box at this event.

 

Although summer is finally upon us, BUILD 09 is right around the corner. With a few months left to prepare we are pleased to announce that this year’s Theme Night will pay homage to the much anticipated games in Vancouver. A Celebration of Canadian Winter Sport will encompass the spirit of our athletes and the multitude of activities that we Canadians indulge upon to pass the long snowy months. (I know… too soon… too soon!). So don’t pack your toques, snow boards, skates and Lycra downhill race suits too tightly in the garage as you’ll need them to construct your costumes in September.

 

Annual General Meeting packages are distributed prior to the conference. Included in the package is a voting card for each CHBA - Alberta member. Make sure to bring your voting card with you to make your opinion count. Hear a presentation by CHBA - Alberta President followed by a keynote speaker.

 

On Friday evening, CHBA - Alberta hosts the Awards of Excellence in Housing, Alberta's top housing honours. Builders from across the province are presented awards for the best houses from each category. This prestigious event caps off with a champagne receptions to congratulate all the winners.

 

 

After an evening of builder awards, this breakfast honours trade and suppliers from across the province for their work over the past year. Not only are these industry members recognized but so are outstanding volunteers and the PHBIA Crystal Awards winners.  The Safety Awards sponsored by ATCO Gas and ATCO Electric will also be presented at the ILA Breakfast to recognize members for their commitment to safety.
