Why Waste It?
CHBA-Alberta in conjunction with Alberta Environment and EnerVision developed an online Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Diversion and Recycling Directory www.WhyWasteIt.ca. The website was set up to help reduce the amount of waste that comes off construction sites by helping builders locate facilities that accept C&D waste to be reused or recycled across the province. Additionally, the WhyWasteIt.ca website helps to create an overall picture of what diversion options presently exist in the province while giving recycling companies more industry attention. For more information please visit www.WhyWasteIt.ca or contact Andriana Beauchemin at (403)284-8256 or Leanne Michie at (403) 284-7217 at the EnerVision office.
