Be at BUILD

BUILD is CHBA – Alberta’s conference and it stands for Being a United Industry in Leadership & Development. The acronym also represents what delegates experience while attending the event.

This highly anticipated four-day conference is comprised of many events aimed to provide educational tools, offer great networking opportunities and recognize industry leaders all while in a beautiful setting. BUILD kicks off with a costume party, providing members the opportunity to let loose and even win a great prize. Friday evening, the prestigious Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing ceremony honours top builders and renovators for their commitment to building the best in the residential construction industry. Saturday morning the recipients of the Safety Awards, the PHBIA Crystal Awards and provincial volunteers are acknowledged at the Industry Leaders Awards. BUILD’s evening events end Saturday with a special tribute to the outgoing association President, Bruce Galts.

To support that goal, CHBA - Alberta developed a safety guide which was distributed to all builder members and their salespeople. As a member benefit, CHBA - Alberta has been able to update, reproduce and redistribute this booklet. To order a free PDF version of the booklet click here.

Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing

The Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing will be accepting submissions from April 29 until June 3 at 4:30 pm.  Once again, photos and marketing comments can be uploaded online.  A CD with the same information is all that needs to be mailed to the CHBA - Alberta office - no hard copy photos required.

The online submission system is a great step forward for our association members and the environment. The online submission system reduces the time it takes for members to print the photos and reduces the waste created after the photos have been judged.
